File sizes are approximate, using decimal GB and MB. To check whether DJI has published a newer package, use the official DJI Terra download center.

DJI Terra system requirements

Check the workstation before downloading. The following specifications summarize DJI's configuration guidance for Terra. Specialized reconstruction modes, large projects and cluster deployments need a closer review of the current manual.

For a practical explanation of RAM, graphics, storage and workstation planning, read our DJI Terra System Requirements & Workstations Guide. Use it alongside the official configuration reference below.

Component DJI Terra configuration guidance
Operating system Windows 10 or later, 64-bit
CPU Intel Core i5 or later
GPU NVIDIA graphics card with compute capability 6.1 or higher; DJI recommends GTX 1050 Ti or later
GPU memory (VRAM) 4 GB or more
System memory (RAM) 32 GB or more
Storage At least 200 GB of available space; an SSD with this free capacity is recommended

Available processing memory is lower than the RAM installed in the computer because Windows and other applications also use it. Keep the GPU driver up to date and size storage for the source data, temporary processing files and final deliverables.

Using a Mac? DJI Terra is a Windows application. A macOS computer should not be treated as a supported native Terra workstation. You can use this page to access documentation, then plan installation on a supported Windows system.

How to install and activate DJI Terra

Use this sequence to move from the downloaded file to your first project. Keep the installer version with your project records when repeatable processing matters.

For the full preparation and setup workflow, use our DJI Terra Installation & Activation Guide. It explains account selection, license activation, device binding and online or offline deployment.

1

Download the appropriate package

Save the Terra or combined ISO to the Windows workstation. Check that the transfer has finished before opening the file.

2

Open the ISO and start the installer

Open or mount the ISO in File Explorer, then run Terra.exe from the virtual drive. If mounting fails, follow DJI's extraction instructions in the installation guide.

3

Complete the installation

Allow the installer the administrator permissions it requires. Choose the language and installation location, complete the setup and restart if requested.

4

Choose the account and activation mode

Launch Terra and use the DJI account intended to manage the license. Follow the online or offline procedure for your entitlement; check device binding before processing paid workflows.

5

Test a representative project

Begin with a sample or a small copy of your survey. Confirm the import, processing settings and exported result before committing to a large production job.

Preparing an offline workstation? Offline licensing uses its own request and license-file exchange. Check that you have the correct entitlement and prepare the required files before isolating the processing computer. Follow the relevant procedure in our Installation & Activation Guide and read the activation and offline FAQs.

DJI Terra manuals, release notes and support resources

Open the resource that matches the next task: learn the workflow, check a version change, investigate an error or prepare a deliverable. Online guides are useful alongside the application; dated PDFs should be read in the context of their release.

Online guide

Online user manual

Navigate the Terra documentation by workflow. Keep the relevant chapter open while setting up a project or reviewing a processing option.

Version changes

Current release notes

Review changes before updating a working installation. Test your important workflow and retain earlier outputs for comparison.

Version archive

Earlier Terra versions

Use the DJI version archive when you need a specific release for a documented project or a controlled compatibility test.

Troubleshooting

Known issue list

Check documented limitations when a function behaves unexpectedly. Record the version and symptom before seeking project-specific assistance.

Troubleshooting

Reconstruction error reference

Locate the exact error and processing stage. Use the relevant suggestions with the project inputs and workstation configuration at hand.

Consult the separate Reality manual when preparing that application. Keep its instructions distinct from Terra reconstruction and license management.

Plan your DJI Terra update

Need an earlier installer or help understanding a release change? Our DJI Terra Versions & Release Notes Guide explains how to use the official version archive, read release notes and prepare a practical checklist before updating a working installation.

Keep historical PDFs in the context of their release and check current DJI documentation before changing your setup.

Practical DJI Terra guides

Use these guides alongside the official DJI documentation to choose your license, plan the workstation, check source data and prepare your first project.

Download DJI Terra sample datasets

Practice the import and reconstruction workflow with DJI's sample files before using an operational survey. A sample is useful for learning the interface and checking an installation; it does not establish performance or accuracy for your own dataset.

When preparing your own survey, consult our Supported Drones & Sensors Guide for input requirements and our Accuracy, GCP & RTK Guide for ground control, checkpoints and coordinate references.

Use a small test to check the workflow

  • Identify whether you are importing photographs or a project archive.
  • Confirm the input type and the reconstruction settings.
  • Review the generated map or model and any quality information.
  • Open an exported deliverable in your intended receiving application.

DJI Terra download FAQ

Is downloading DJI Terra the same as obtaining a paid license?

The installer provides the application files. Paid access depends on the applicable license, activation and binding. If you are evaluating Terra, check DJI's current trial instructions and the functions included in the trial. Our DJI Terra License Guide explains the questions to check before choosing a license.

Do Standard and Flagship need different download buttons?

Select the Terra installation package, then use the appropriate license entitlement in the application. Compare the required features in DJI's edition comparison before purchasing or activating a license.

How do I open the downloaded ISO file?

Open or mount the ISO in Windows File Explorer and run Terra.exe from the virtual drive. DJI also documents an extraction method when mounting fails. Use the installation guide for the complete procedure. You can also follow our Installation & Activation Guide for the setup sequence and license preparation.

Does the combined installer automatically include paid Modify access?

A package containing several applications should not be interpreted as a grant of every paid feature. Confirm the Terra and Modify entitlements you need before ordering. Contact Drone Emotions if you need help choosing the software combination.

Where should I check for a newer release?

Use the official DJI download center and current release notes. This page identifies the versions linked at its review date so you can compare them with any later DJI listing.

What should I do if a download or installation fails?

Check whether the transfer completed and whether there is enough free storage. Record the exact installation message, package version and Windows configuration. Consult DJI guidance or send the details to our team.

Need help with a DJI Terra license or installation?

Tell Drone Emotions which application, sensor and output you need. For an installation issue, include the package version, workstation details and exact message so we can understand the next step.
